The emotion of tube sound, signed by Jadis

For a long time, we had been thinking about developing a new reference that would combine compact design with increased performance. Then the KT170 tube arrived, giving the starting signal for the I-70 project.

This integrated amplifier is not only designed in the pure Jadis tradition, with point-to-point wiring and handmade transformers, but it is also the first to incorporate several features derived from Jadis monoblock technology.

From the power supply point of view, the power stage has a fully separate supply, making it totally independent. With the driver and power stages separated, one power stage is not influenced by the other, ensuring 100% available performance. The stabilized filament voltage also eliminates induced noise.

A huge power transformer has been designed to deliver dynamics and pulse power. Thanks to its completely new output transformer design, the I-70 operates in a single push-pull ultra-linear configuration with triple-load output, and is equipped with two KT170 tubes per channel.

The KT170 is a powerful tube, but we preferred to take advantage of its characteristics to reduce distortion rather than simply focusing on power. For that reason, we chose a different operating point than usual.
